Lighten Up With Liposculpture to Shape & Contour

Liposuction has been around for decades, but it is only in recent years that cosmetic surgeons have really begun perfecting the technique known as liposculpture. Liposculpture, as defined by our practice, refers to the targeted removal of fat with an eye towards shaping and contouring, rather than simply removing bulk fat. Through tumescent liposculpture, patients can achieve the illusion of having lost weight and can actually drop a dress size or two simply through reshaping the body.

Tumescent liposculpture involves only local anesthesia, meaning patients aren't subject to the risks that go along with general anesthesia. Patients can recover very quickly depending on the treatment area. Our own Dr. Goldman was able to attend a colleague dinner the same day that he had the procedure done and rode in a 60km cycling trip the next day! Obviously, not all patients will be able to recover quite that fast, but a long weekend is generally enough to resume everyday activities.

If you want a flat stomach or an hourglass waist but can't achieve that shape through diet and exercise alone, liposculpture can help. It's important to keep in mind that lipo results need to be maintained through a healthy lifestyle! If you're looking at lipo in place of exercising and eating right, you're probably not a candidate.
